  How do I let readers write comments without entering their name or email? I thought I had selected that option as default but it isn’t there.

  Look under options > discussion under the “before a comment appears” section. Make sure and click the “update options” button when done.

  The fields will still appear above the comment box, but the commenter does not have to fill them in unless they want to.

  I had done so. The fields did not appear until today.

  I’ve always seen the fields, no matter which way I have it set.
