do personal details like email addresses be visible when i comment on another person’s blog? if so how can i get rid of that?

Yes your email is visible to the site admin but not there readers…
No you can not disable this option my suggestion would be to set up a
email for your blogging stuff so blog admins don’t see your personal
email… -

I have to say that once when I made comment on a wordpress blog, I later made a search engine search on my name, and for some reason my IP and e mail adress (along with my name, which is attached to my blog) were visible in the search results.
You can also log out of wordpress before making a comment, and make up an e mail address (though its not honest). I have a feeling people who leave comments often make up e mail addresses.

One can create an email address specifically for blogging, rather than making up one. It makes life easier so that any correspondence to that addy, has to do with blogging.

Ya, I was wondering if we could turn off the email feature in a comment.
But that was months ago, and I use another email for the comments now! -

I have one more query..i’ve noticed that when i leave comments..the link to my blog is not added to it…
like for instance..if i click on ur username..it takes me to ur blog…how can i make that happen for mine? -

well, i just checked my profile from my dashboard..and the link to my blog is there under “primary blog”..should i also put it under “website” to make it appear?
