Comments and replies.

I don’t know if this is a “problem” or not but I was curious: How come I can n only reply to a specific “reply” once on a post. Let me try to clarify that because this is a little confusing. Consider that a comment has a hierarchy of sorts. I can rely to the original comment, however when they reply to MY reply, I cannot go back and reply on what is in effect, their second comment, although it’s a reply to mine I have to return to the original comment they made and more or less start another hierarchy of relies, which of course, I can only reply to once and then I unfortunately have to do it all over again.

Scroll down to the last comment. I cannot reply to her reply. See? Why is that and can i change that “dysfunction.”
Don’t let the creply/omment box confuse you, that is for a new comment on the post altogether. Take notice that there is no reply link beneath the person Eclipse ‘s reply to mine.
What it seems to be doing, is not letting me have a “conversation” from the original commenter.
As before, can we change that “dysfunction” because it’s annoying and is causing more confusion that it iit s probably meant to stop.
I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to do that, but it is my blog, I should have that option to set that feature , don’t you think? And if I can, where is it?
Thank you.

That’s happening because you have nested comments set to go 3 levels deep. You can update that option on the Settings → Discussion page in your blog dashboard. Look for the option that says, “Enable threaded (nested) comments __ levels deep” and increase that number. Note that if you add too many comment levels, the design could start to break down and look funky. Some of that will depend on the theme you are using and how wide the content area is. A wider content area is better if you’re going to add more levels.
