comments are being blocked

I’ve had several friends say they’ve tried to leave a comment on my blog, but they’ve been blocked. one said she was a ‘suspected bot.’ How do I allow them to comment?

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.
This is most likely being caused by whichever spam protection or security plugin you are using on your site, so it would be best to contact support for that plugin directly. I’m afraid I can’t tell you which plugin that is, though – all I can tell you is that it’s not our Akismet plugin, as that doesn’t appear to be active on your site and doesn’t tell someone why they are being blocked when that happens.
