comments are not posting

  I know some people have commented on my blog (they have told me so) and the comments are not appearing anywhere. I checked the spam comments. A friend submitted a fairly extensive comment and it got lost. Can someone tell me what’s going on with this. Thanks

  It can take some time for comments to show in the spam queue. Wait awhile and see if they show up. If they don’t, have them contact Akismet directly.

  I was able to leave a comment just now. It’s showing on your most recent post.

  I wonder if it matters if the comment is coming from a non-member. Any ideas on that?

  How have you got your Discussion settings set? Some blogs only allow comments from WP.com members who are signed in. You’d find settings under Dashboard–> Settings ->Discussion.

  No, I didn’t check that option so I should be able to get comments from outside of wordpress, and I have gotten some for previous posts. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

  Try to log out, then leave a comment. See what happens and then log in and check from the Dashboard->comments side of things.
