  I would liket to remove the commentbox from my pages – how is it done?

  First, did you try disabling comments? http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

  Go to settings > discussion and disable comments and trackbacks. This will only affect posts and pages from that point forward.

  For existing posts and pages, you will need to use the bulk edit feature at posts > all posts and pages > all pages and disable comments there.
