Comments Box
-
Hello all!…
How do I open my comments box to EVERYONE, WP users or not? I’ve selected “anyone can post” and there’s no moderation or any kind of limitation… but it requires a WP login.
How can I solve it? Please… anyone…
See it at http://blogica.wordpress.com [Link may not be safe for work viewing – drmike] -
In Options > Discussion there’s two boxes need unticked:
An administrator must always approve the comment
and
Comment author must have a previously approved comment
You should also check that comments are available:
Tick “Allow people to post comments on the article” on the same screen and save the option.
By the way, for anyone looking from work, the header in this blog is Not Safe For Work.

I have the same problem too. It states that visitors need to be logged in in order to comment.
I’ve checked the settings for the discussion in my blog. Anyone can leave a comment without moderation or previously approved comments, provided they leave an email address.
So I wonder how is it that visitors need to be logged in to comment…

Under Options->General, there is a check box for “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”. It is titled “Membership”.
Take a look at that one (it should be un-checked).
I’m going to send a feedback asking for that box to be on the Discussions settings page, and i hope you will, too.

Ditto, Judy….I’ve been scratching my head over this same problem for the last 3 days. This is the first forum post I’ve seen that mentioned that setting. I agree…they need to move it in with the Discussions settints. Thanks!

Carlos,
Is that really a Marine who was so disfigured or is it photoshop? And if you have his name and the original article, can you post it please?
I would like to see the Bush Daughters serving in Iraq… :(

That’s a real photo; it won the Portrait category of the largest international photography competition, and deservedly so.
