Comments closed on challenges

  Why are the comments closed on the September 20th, 2013 Daily Post Photo Challenge?

  Comments on Daily Prompts are always closed. Do you mean the Weekly Photo Challenge?

  Even if the comments are closed, you should still be able to create a backtrack to the challenge post from your site’s post.

  As I stated, comments were closed in the September 20th, 2013 PHOTO Challenge by Wednesday of that same week. Perhaps there should be a disclaimer stating that comments will be closed after a certain amount of entries have been reached or that entries will not be accepted after a certain day. Backtracks are integral but don’t necessarily draw traffic that comes from the random reader scrolling down through the comments…

  Perhaps you should mention it the next time you leave a comment on a challenge post? FWIW-I didn’t post a comment on that challenge, but my pingback got plenty of traction.
