Comments didn't import to new blog

  Hello!

  I’ve exported & imported my blog content from my old free blog to my new one using the .xml file.

  Everything was successful, except for the comments. All comments are showing in the backend, but it’s only showing on my website under newer posts. Bit weird cause I only have about 5 posts. Any help appreciated, thanks!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Your comments have been imported, they’re just not enabled on some posts. See the Enable and Disable Comments for Published Posts and Pages support page.

  Thanks for your reply! Sorry I should have been more clear, I have moved my blog to a paid wordpress.org website.

  I changed the comment setting under an individual post to display, but no luck :(

  Hi there,

  Did you do a full export of the WordPress.com site, or posts-only? The Posts-only option should export comments on those posts as well, but it’s the only possibility I can think of of what could have gone wrong on our end.

  We don’t have any access to your self-hosted site’s dashboard, and we don’t have control over the importer on that site, so there’s nothing we can do to help regarding the import on the other end. Please ask in the self-hosted forums instead if anyone there has had this issue before and how they fixed it.
