Comments disabled – how to activate?

  I’ve noticed that readers are not given the option of commenting my recent posts.

  I went to Settings > Discussion Settings and I checked the “Allow people to post comments on new articles”

  But this hasn’t worked. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  Changing that setting will only affect new posts, so you’ll need to update the Comments setting to “Allow Comments” for each post with Quick Edit.

  To update multiple posts at once, you can also use Bulk Edit and update the Comments drop down to “Allow”.

  The change at settings > discussion will only affect comments posts and pages from that point forward. You will have to use the bulk edit feature for pages and posts and manually change it for any prior post or page that does not have comments enabled.
