comments display

Hello, How come on this blog
http://erickoch.ca/2015/05/25/pierre-karl-peladeaus-first-week/
comments appear in full after the post they’re commenting on, whereas on my blog
https://curmudgeonone.wordpress.com/
I have to click a “comments” button to see the comments?
Note both sites use the same Theme.
I don’t see a way at Settings > Discussion to control this.
Thanks for help!

Comments appear in full when you view the article’s single page.
The first link you post, is a single article page, so it shows all the comments. Now check this archive-type page: http://erickoch.ca/2015/05/25/ (showing all posts that were made on May 25 — in this specific case, it’s just one post), it doesn’t show the comments, and you’ll have to click through (like on your site) to see all the comments.
For the second link you posted, it’s an Archive page (the home page) so it won’t show the comments. But if you go to its single article page at https://curmudgeonone.wordpress.com/2015/05/26/haydn-hidin-bach/#comments, you’ll see the comments.
In short: on single article pages, the comments show fully, but on archive pages, they don’t.

That’s right, you can’t make them show like that.
For good reason though — archive pages can (and often do) show a number of posts, imagine having a page with, say, 5 posts and all of them show all their comments…that would clutter things up a bit.
