Comments email not working
-
On two different WP 2.1 blogs (one with a bunch of plugins, one default) I have the Options>>>Discussion set to email whenever Anyone posts a comment and An administrator must always approve the comment. I made comments as an outside user (not logged in as Admin), and no emails were received. There are valid email addresses for the authors. Tried it with three diff authors.
I must be missing something…?

It might be a problem with your server setup if it is not your email spam filter catching them. Either way, you will have to continue this over in the other forums for blogs not hosted on wordpress.com at:
Plenty of great folks there to help you out!

I just did. Nothing. Does Akismet block wordpress from sending emails to notify blog (admin) authors when comments come in? Also, on one of the blogs Akismet is not active, but still no email notification. I’m basically looking to have each blog author, whomever made the post, notified when a comment comes in so they can approve it or delete it. Thanks.

Help!
I tried to change my email from an old account, to a new one, and now, none of my comments come to me when they’re posted. I tried to reset the email address, to both the old one, and the new one again, and nothing. What should I do?

To change your email address -> Options
E-mail address:
This address is used only for admin purposes. If you change this we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed. -
Thanks, timethief! I did that, which is what got all my comments lost to me…any thoughts on how I can fix this?
