public comments not being displayed…even though comments are enabled, and threads enabled. ?? what do I do to get the comments to display again? thank you
advice needed
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can see the post comments when I click on the post titles. They won’t show on the front page, only on each individual post.
-
the most recent comments, up to 15, usually show on the main page, which is what I want….
it gives people an idea what is being discussed.
it has been this way for years…..now they do not show…..
how can I reestablish this display?
-
I’m not sure either. I’ve not seen a blog where there comments are shown on the main page, only the comment count (how many comments have been posted). Sorry, I couldn’t be of any help.
-
the comments themselves are not displayed, but there is a list saying that:
person x commented on a post y
this is what is missing…the list

Ah… Okay. Hopefully, staff will see this and offer you help. It’s the weekend so it may take a little time. Subscribe to the thread (see the link in the sidebar) and be patient. Good luck…

Are you referring to the Recent Comments widget described here http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/recent-comments-widget/ ? Yes or no.
If yes then did you change the widget title?
If you did change it exactly what did you change the widget title to please?
Widgets now have “visibility” settings so we can select which pages they display on. If this is a widget issue and hence far I cannot determine that then maybe you have excluded front page display. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility -
Associated unsolicited advice
The rule of thumb when it comes to widgets is less is more. The sidebar of your blog is overwhelming and every widget and every link displayed by the widgets there slows page loading time down which results in outclicks before the site is fully loaded. Not only that but assuming a visitor waits long enough for the whole thing to load the overwhelming sidebar is more likely to intimidate a visitors than to encourage them to locate content located deeper in your blog.Your website is faster than 60% of all tested websites and that’s not good news at all. http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/LJCVY/http://heavenawaits.wordpress.com/
Reduce the number of widgets in the sidebar and reduce the amount of data each one displays to improve page loading time.

I just reset the widget by removing it and then re-adding it to your sidebar. The comments are now appearing on the site.
