Comments feature broken?

  Just answered a comment on my blog and it went….nowhere. Gone. (((Poof))). Makes me wonder if comments from readers aren’t showing up either. This isn’t good. Anyone else had this happen?

  Dozens of people. If you do a search of the forums for “comments not showing up” or “Akismet” you’ll find that it’s not uncommon for legitimate comments to get put in the spam file by accident, especially on weekends. That’s when spammers attack more, so Akismet tightens up a lot and sometimes too much. Go to your Akismet Spam file and un-spam the ones that show up. If they haven’t shown up in there yet, wait maybe an hour or so and check again. Sometimes they take awhile.

  In the mean time, don’t continue to comment. They’ll just go to spam. Un-spam what you can, and if they never seem to show up (ie not by Monday) then contact staff.
