Comments Field not showing in Annotum Theme.

Does anyone know if Annotum allows comments on their pages? See here on my ‘Comments and Feedback’ page:

I’ve enabled comments on this page, but it doesn’t seem to be showing. Also I’ve enabled comments on my other pages and the comments field does not appear.
Another bug perhaps?

Looks like some other problems with the theme – the footer is missing also –
Turning on comments on an individual Post or Page should override the main settings Dashboard >> Settings >> Discussion >> Allow comments on new article.
I will flag this for staff attention also.

@mbukee452, I just did a test and switched to the Annotum theme. It doesn’t look like it does comments on pages. This theme is specialized for scholarly journals. You can read more about how they are designed in this Support Article, http://en.support.wordpress.com/annotum-wordpress-com-faq/

I just need one particular page where readers can comment on any of my articles. I don’t particularly need all articles to show a comments field.

It looks like I’ll have to create a ‘comments and feedback’ area directed off-site then?

@mbukee452, yes, with this theme, it won’t do comments for pages, but it will do it for posts. If you read the article link this theme is designed for specific uses so you can either use it and maybe create a contact form that gets mailed to you, you can read more about adding a contact form here, http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ or you can select another theme.

Hi there. We’ll look into how comments are handled in pages.
On another note, if you’re looking forward to getting comment from your users, you could also use a contact form inside that comments and feedback page.

I could do Stephdau but I think that readers may not bother with a ‘contact form’. Anyway, readers will be able to use posts instead. I’ve made the first post a ‘sticky’.

There are over 150 themes you can choose to use on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. You can use the Themes Showcase and feature filters there to select one and even live demo themes too. Or you can simply go here > Appearance > Themes select a theme and click “preview” to see how it would look on your blog. If you like it then click “activate”. -
Morning Timethief, yes I do know that, I have been using ‘Vigilance’ customised & with maximum widgets.
Imagine my shock with login yesterday to see the sparse cold annotum design !One of my bloggers does write Knols so I can only assume he tried to import one & has wrecked my work.To revert to my previous home page means a hell of a lot of work.
So now I have to start all over again. :-(

A fellow blogger is trying to bring his Knols from Google to Annotum, he says it proving to be difficult, any tips ?
From what I’ve learned its just a C&P but he’s talking about ‘downloading the program’ .

It’s not as simple as a normal import, and some people are experiencing problems. If you have a blog that has several contributors, only one of whom is importing a knol, I’d contact staff and ask for assistance. They may be able to figure something out.
