Comments Form – Fonts
-
Couple of questions on minor niggles – I’m a novice so they might be stupid ones.
Is it possible to change the font of the comment form elements? Also, when logged in in WordPress, Facebook, or Twitter, the ‘You are commenting…’ text is bigger than the name – is it possible to make them the same size?
All best,
Tim

Yes, that’s possible, but the comment area has a lot of moving parts. Here is the part that sets the font face for comments:
#respond { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif; }Check out this link about font stacks to learn how they work.

Thank you! That’s really helpful and very interesting – I’ve now changed the typeface to match the rest of the blog (and learnt something about font stacks). Was still wondering, though, if there was a way to change the font size of elements in the comments form (in particular the name associated with any avatar)?
All best,
Tim

Yep, to target just the font size of comment author names in the Manifest theme, give this a try:
.comment-author cite { font-size: 80%; }Adjust the percentage as necessary.
