Comments from outside not behaving

    Hello,
    I am a noob, and am having a challenge getting comments to work “normally”.
    The issue is related to displaying comments. While my end users can enter comments, I can approve them and reply, and there is a #comments link at the bottom of each entry (and recent comments on the bar lists the summaries of them), there is no entry area for new comments nor is there a way to see the typical scrolling/listing of comments.
    My wife was able to type in the post url directly and see the comments…this is probably how my end users entered comments. However, from my homepage there is no way to either get the comment widget link to do anything but reload the page or to get the “# comments” link page to do anything but the same…there are no visible comments after each entry. Thanks for any/all help.
