comments from wordpress accounts beeing given an unwanted special bg color

    Hello :)

    My theme (or blog) seems to discriminate if the comment has been made with a wordpress account. the background color of this comment is different from the others, and from mine as an admin. (my background color for comments is plain white, comments from others are gray, wordpress accounts comments are dark bluegray.)

    I did not purchase the premium, and I’m happy with the colors of my theme. I’d like to know if there’s a menu somewhere that I’ve missed, that says “discriminate the wordpress accounts commenting, and give them a special color”, so I would uncheck that box :/…. I’d like to have only my comments as an admin with a special color.

    I did not see that kind of checkbox in any menu from my theme nor from wordpress/admin, but I thought it was worth to ask if someone knew about that.

    Ok, and thanks a lot for your answer.
    I can see that there’s the same special color on the demo, both comments on the demo have been made with wordpress accounts.

    hopefully one of the themes staff member will know more about this, and even better, how to get rid of that special color :D.

    I’ll gladly be patient and I’ve subscribed to this thread so I’ll be notified if there’s some more answers.

    As you’ve pointed out, Grisaille does add a different background colour on comments made by registered users. If you’d like to override that and make the background white, you can add this custom CSS if you have the Custom Design upgrade.

    ok, thanks for your answer. I’ll see if y buy the custom or change the theme. Is there a way to know which themes do that and which doesn’t ?

    We don’t categorize themes by that criteria – you’d need to test the theme to see what the comments look like. I don’t think it’s a common feature, though.
