Comments in pages do not appear in "Recent Comments Widget"

  4 months ago, WP broke the “Recent Comments” widget such that comments were not appearing in the widget (which rather defeated the object).

  Despite saying that they had “put it back to how it was before it was broken”, it did not work quite the same (e.g. comments in Attachment Pages did not appear ). But OK, I could live with it.

  Seems like WP cant stop fixing things that aren’t broke! …..

  Although comments in POSTS do appear in the Widget, comments in PAGES no longer do.

  I just noticed that it happens to my blog too, comments on pages do not appear in the widget. Thank you.

  Oh – I see what you’ve done. You now have to tick whether you want comments from posts, pages and/or media. Default was posts – that was probably a mistake.
