Comments in the Origin theme (with sidebar)

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me with a query. I’ve recently switched my blog theme to Origin and am really enjoying the design, except for one element of it (or lack thereof). I was wondering whether the developers of this theme have recently put any thought towards enabling the comments count/’post comment’ link underneath posts, in the version of the theme with the abbreviated posts and sidebar.
Having just switched from a theme that has this, I’m really missing having this option on the main page; for convenience’s sake, and also for reader interaction.
I was wondering whether something like this could be established as an option for this theme? I’ve had a look around the forums and have found a couple of other posts with similar queries, and it seems like something many users of this beautiful theme could benefit from.

Thanks for the suggestion! I passed it along to our developers for them to consider in a future update to the Origin theme. :)
However, there’s no guarantee that this feature will be added to the theme. If this is something you really want on your blog, you might want to consider setting up a self-hosted WordPress blog with the WordPress.org software. That way, you’d have full control over the code and you could make this change yourself.

Thanks for your response Rachel! I’m looking forward to seeing what the developers think. Unfortunately I have zero technical skills with which to switch over to .org, but that would definitely be a good option for someone who is that way inclined! In the mean time I’ve switched to a theme that has comments on the main page in the hope that eventually Origin might have the same. Thanks again :)

Just re-activated Origin on my film blog because I saw that it had the comments linked on the main page! I’m so happy, thanks developers! :)
