Comments in trash

Most new comments (and spam) in my recent post are going directly into my dashboard/comments/trash. These comments did not show up on my inbox and notifier
Please look at My Site/Stats/Activity/pages 3 and 4. where there is a record of restore/approve comments and delete spam.
I cannot see any changes in my dashboard/settings
Please fix.

Hi Ralph,
Can you please make sure that any of those comments weren’t moved in the Trash because of some filters you have in your Comment Blacklist? To view the blacklist go to My Site > Settings > Discussion and scroll to the bottom of the page.

The blacklist was created when I was hit by hundreds of spam in notifier a few years ago and has not been added to for years. The problem then was caused by my approving an anonymous comment. I could delete the blacklist. What do you think ?
This recent post is the only time when most comments (and spam) automatically found their way into dashboard/comments/trash. No problem before. -
Yeah, all of these comments are saying they were caught by your blacklist somehow. I noticed the string id is in the blacklist. That would fit any word the matches id including benign words like did. Try getting rid of the blacklist if you don’t need it anymore, and let’s see if the problem goes away.

Okay. I have completely cleared the blacklist and will update you when I next publish a new post.
