Comments I've Made Delete / Username Change

Hello, why must an opinion I had 5 years ago still be circulating the internet in my name? I changed my user and display name, it didn’t make a difference to any of the comments, the ‘comments I’ve made section’ wouldn’t even load my comments for me to see them all (and no they weren’t made via twitter) and I’ve deleted my account the comments are still there in my name. Can’t I email someone, I don’t like this community thing, last time someone said they’d pass me onto technical but they didn’t.

You need to get in touch with each of the blogs that you have made a comment with and have them delete your comment. The owner of each blog is the one who has the capability to delete your comments. See more info on how to do that here:

Well I wanted to do that but I couldn’t remember all my comments, & they wouldn’t appear in my ‘comments I’ve made section’. And no one would help then. I’ve deleted the account, & changed the name to Patrice123 so why my old name is still there etc. I don’t want my dumb teen opinions circulating the net forever, I’m grown up now & this just feels like blackmail.

If you can’t find your comments this link: http://wordpress.com/activities/comments/
then you can try using Google to find some of your old comments.Some of the search terms you can use are:
yourusername
yourusername WordPress.com
yourusername comments
“yourusername says”and other similar search terms, where you can replace the word yourusername with the old username that you have.
If it’s any consolation, nobody really holds anything you say when you were a teen against you. If that happened, everybody would be in big trouble since everybody has pretty much done something stupid online at some point or the other.

Well no one will know how young & dumb I was, & it’s not like I’ve said anything terrible, it’s just principle, just kind of clearing my internet stuff & my wordpress stuff is still there, it’s annoying. Even this support ticket will be here forever after, it’s just more space the internet doesn’t need. And precisely, someone googles my name up come my stupid posts, what’s the point, why does it mean so much to wordpress to keep them.
