COMMENTS I'VE MADE: Reduce the informational clutter

  • Unknown's avatar

Today when in Dashboard, I clicked onto Comments I’ve Made, so that I could reply to some recent comments I’d made. I noticed a link to try a New version combining posts, likes and comments. It looks much like Blogs I Follow as shown in Reader. I appreciate the effort all WordPress engineers make in wanting things to be a bit more interesting for us.

However, I’ve never liked the way the information is currently presented, and certainly do not want all that other stuff you have put into your New version. Sorry, guys! Sometimes the KISS principle is the best.

For me, that means I am

      only

interested in seeing the comment I made and any reply to it by the

      blog-site owner

where I made that comment. Simple as that!

How about it, guys? That would be a wonderful 2014 New Year’s present…

Some time ago now the ” Comments I’ve Made” was rolled into our activity stream. Many complained but that is the current situation. See the Staff response from macmanx here please https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-new-comments-i-made-feature-is-horrible/page/2?replies=71#post-1176939

Oh, well, timethief…I guess my viewpoint will be added to all those others, perhaps! Whether they are listened to and acted upon is another matter entirely! At least the WordPress boys and girls are having fun in the explorations department when trying new things….sometimes good ideas do come from that risk-taking! Cheers! :)
