Comments Labeled Spam
-
Why were 108 comments on my blog labeled as spam and deleted? I’d like to see them first before they’re removed. How do I locate the spam settings and change them?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You failed to provide the complete URL for the blog to which you refer starting with http://
Please do that now.The worst of all spam is well known to Akismet. These spammy items are deleted before they even get near our blogs — Thank Gawd!
If you search forum threads you will find Staff, particularly, Tellyworth explaining this. Searche terms: Akismet, spam filtering, spam folder.

Where do I provide the complete url? I’m not very good at the technicalities of blogging. Thank you, timethief!

In your top browser bar you see the URL for your blog Example: http://pastyporco.wordpress.com
-
That’s not the URL for your blog. I’m just using it as an example. Here’s another example of a URL http://NAMEOFTHEBLOG.wordpress.com

Thank you again, timethief. Actually, it is the name of my blog:
http://patsyporco.wordpress.com -
I read the link that you provided and now I’m embarrassed that I’m concerned about my deleted comments, since they were probably spam.

Thanks for posting the URL.
If you can see the “108” then click it and you will find your spam filter.
Setting that issue aside, I can see that you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere into your posts. This creates problems.
Advice – don’t do it!
Alternative advice :)
If you feel must do this then start using the correct icon “W” in the editor to strip the crappola code out of what you copied and pasted from microsoft WORD. If it’s not microsoft WORD but another source that you are copying and pasting from then use the same process I describe above but this time use the icon in the editor with the “T” on it. -
