comments no longer working?

  I’m rather new to this whole blogging thing…but all of the sudden, people can no longer leave comments on my blog…these are mostly people that don’t have their own blogs, but have left me several comments in the past? Any help would be greatly appreciated

  glad I’m not the only one…(I’m new to this whole blog thing, and was hoping it wasn’t something I did on accident)…please let me know if you find a solution to this problem…thanks

  i’ve been emailing support for a few months about this myself and they can’t seem to help. has anyone been successful at fixing it?

  Check your akismet spam folder (comments > Akismet spam) for legitimate comments and if you find any, despam them. I suspect there have been adjustments to the akismet spam filters to keep up with the spammers and unfortunately some legitimate comments typically get caught for a little while after that happens. Once you despam them, Akismet will learn and within a few days or so they should no longer get caught.

  It is important to check your Akismet spam folders daily and fish out and despam any real comments so that Akismet will learn as quickly as possible.
