Comments not appearing
-
Hello, I received email notification for two comments left on my blog but they’re not showing up any where on the blog itself. Can you help? I would like to respond to my readers!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to us. A few things to check: have you ensured that comments are enabled for your blog? Go to your WP-Admin dashboard ->Pages ->All Pages -> Quick Edit and check the box next to Allow Comments. This should do the trick. Please refer to below guide for more info as well: https://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments-for-future-posts-pages.
p.s. Good luck with your journey!

Hi there,
I don’t see any comments on your site, but I do see two contact form submissions. I think those might be the emails you received:

Contact form submissions don’t appear as comments on your site, as a contact form is intended as a way for readers to contact you privately while comments are public for anyone visiting the site to read.

Hi all,
Thank you for responding to this question! I just realized that I think what I’m seeing are people using the “contact” tab to send me an email, not make a comment on the site itself. The message is displayed next to the title “comment” so I assumed it was coming from the comment function. I made sure I have comments enabled so I should be good when I actually get one.
Thanks again!

Happy to help :)
Also note that you don’t have to have a contact form. It’s added to new sites by default, but you can just delete that page if you don’t want to offer readers a way to contact you privately.
