Comments Not Being Emailed

This happened back on March 21, I think. Some of my comments are being emailed to me, and others are not. Out of 6 that were posted overnight, I received two email notifications. The others are not in my spam folder, I’ve checked. The last time, I believe that one of the servers was down? Is that happening again?

Same thing is happening to me. It’s happened multiple times. The first few times, my ISP was blocking them. WordPress requested the block be lifted and everything was fine. This last time (this past week), nothing was done about it. Every now and then, a few stray comment e-mails will filter in, but out of 27 comments on a post Thursday night, I received maybe 8 or 9 of them in my e-mail. I’ve tried changing the e-mail address in my profile section to a different one, but it’s not letting me. I’ve been searching on here for any solution, but am coming up empty handed. I’m beyond frustrated!

I’ve been in contact with them several times. I think they’re frustrated that I keep bothering them :)

Same thing happening to me. Not getting e-mail notification or comments or pingbacks on any of my three WP blogs since about April 15.
I’ve not had this problem before, and I’ve been on WordPress for 14 months.

Has there been any resolution to this? I’m not getting any comment notification at all and haven’t for a while now.

Not sure what you all use for email, but Road Runner has been blocking a lot of our emails for the past few weeks. We heard back from them today. They said they would be lifting the block later today.

The only comments which I don’t receive by email are those that are moderated. Like I have mine set that blog owner needs to approve the comment for the first time. Then after that, they go through on their own. Those which have already been approved I get in emails. Those in moderation, I don’t. Could that be part of what’s going on?

The notifications for moderated comments is a feature that was lost in the transition to the new version of WordPress. There is a bug ticket to get it added back in.

Ah, so it was Road Runner. That explains my problem. And as I write this, e-mail notice of a comment left a couple of days ago finally arrives in my inbox. Thanks much for pursuing this with Road Runner.

mtdewvirus, has the bug ticket been resolved? Both my blog and my husband’s (http://blogharbor.wordpress.com) have never changed our email notification settings and like many above, since the WordPress change, continue to not receive any notification whatsoever. It’s not a problem at our email end (our settings through comcast are set up to allow these in), as we’ve checked and re-checked.
