comments not being posted

  Sometime since early 2016 I follow a website called The Last Refuge on which I used to make comments or replies to others’ comments, with my Word Press account. One day in November 2016 my comments or my likes were no longer accepted. I am not computer savvy enough to determine why, but I wrote to the originator of the Refuge at his stated email address; never received a reply. It is a pity because I do like that website.

  Howdy –

  The owner of the site has full control over what comments they choose to display on the site. It’s possible that they deleted your comments, another possibility is that they were caught in the spam filter.

  I’ll be happy to take a look. What is the site address for Last Refuge?

  Hi, thank you for your offer to help. The Last Refuge website is:
  the conservativetreehouse.com It is run by someone named Sundance.
  My comments were displayed all along after my very first one which was sometime in late 2015 early 2016. I was actually surprised to see WordPress because I wasn’t aware that I had an account. Swissik is definitely me though.

  conservativetreehouse.com is not hosted with us at WordPress.com. The only suggestion I can give is to contact the site owner directly about this.

  This is becoming weirder and weirder, since WordPress is directly cited on the website, including the small icon W at the top left of page. When I click on comment it confirms that “you are commenting on your WordPress account”. Like I said I am not computer savvy, sorry. Thank you though.

  ? Notice THEconservativetreehouse.com This site is hosted with us. I think that may have been the confusion.

  At the top of the site, upper right corner, there is an email address. You can send an email to that address. Otherwise, you’ll click on the post title to open it up completely and then scroll to the bottom to leave a comment (if the owner has that option turned on).
