Comments not getting to me or to blog

  Hi, I’ve had readers tell me (off the blog) that they have commented, but the comments never appear either on the comment page as spam or pending nor do I get an email notification that a comment was made. Some comments are getting through, but I have no idea how many are not since unless a reader emails me separately to say, “Did you see my comment?.” I’ve no way to know whether or not a comment was made.

  Why would this happen? Is the commenter making an error? Or is it some glitch? These are people who have successfully commented in the past, but then cannot at a later time on a later post. I do NOT have comments disabled. Like I said, some comments come through.
