  Despite reading a similar question in this section about comment links, I am still stumped.
  Why wont my comments on another persons blog link back to mine even though I am logged in and am visiting a fellow WordPress.com blogger?

  Because your username is not linked to your blog. Go to users > your profile and put the URL of your blog into the “website” field and then click the “update profile” button at the bottom of the page.
