comments not linking to new blog

I just deleted my original blog but i created and transferred all the content to the new blog neecysnest.wordpress. However, when I post on other blogs, if the person clicks my name it is still linking to the deleted old site. I have already changed in my personal setting the “primary blog” and website with the new address, but it hasn’t updated or changed.
Is there another step I am missing?

You can change that easily. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

If using that process does not work for you then you will have to contact Staff as Volunteers can’t change the link for you.

Ok thx! But i did do that. But is it possible that comments I previously made before hte change or deletion are still linking to the deleted site b/c when i made the comments at that time the site was still up?
IOW’s moving forward all my new comments will link to the new site, while older comments made under the old site will not transfer to the new one?

This is not a retroactive change. It does not change the link to the blog in comments you left previously. They remain linked to the original blog.

Ok I was right, it does link to the new address with my current comments. The older comments are still linking to the old site. I guess I can contact support for that.
