Comments not registering on the page

Comments I am making on a blog (Frederickleatherman.com) I follow are not registering on the page today. I cannot create a new comment at the bottom of the thread, and replies I make are not always registering on the page either. Comments I make through the notification bar are working more often. It is all very erratic.
I am using Chrome but I have tried with two other browsers and I have the same problem. I have closed everything and re-booted my system twice and it is still not working. I have also tried making comments on another blog (whonoze.wordpress.com) and they work. I think it is safe to say the problem is something to do with wordpress and the frederickleatherman blog today but I cannot contact the owner to see if it something they have done or not done.
Please could you give me a solution asap,

Akismet has recently tightened up, and some legit comments are going to spam. Please STOP commenting on that site, because if you’ve been put in that category then every new comment you make reinforces that.
Instead, go here http://akismet.com/contact/ and report that you’ve been mistakenly put in the Spam category.

I have finally contacted the owner of one of the blogs and this is the comment they have left me and my posts are NOT IN SPAM:
I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t see your posts on this page. However, I do see them on the ‘comments’ admin page, and they show up as approved. So there’s nothing for me to fish them out of, as far as I know. My WordPress knowledge is quite limited.
Any ideas of what the problem can be if it’s not spam?
Any idea what they need to do to fix it?
Could there be something wrong from my side and anything I can do to fix it ?
