Comments not showing

    I have tried changing the settings on an individual post, and on several using the bulk option, but when I post a comment, it just disappears.

    Hi Daniel,

    Could you give me an example of a blog post which you got a notification that it had a comment come in which you approved and the comment disappeared? Keep in mind that you can find all of your comments listed in your Dashboard under the Comments section on the left hand side (I noticed there was a fair amount of Spam in there, you may want to mark those as Spam to keep our Spam-fighting bots up-to-date and your site free of unwanted fake comments).

    I have had no comments for a long time, so I commented myself (3 times), and they just don’t show up. Will you try commenting?

    I actually apologize, I just realized I commented on your self-hosted WordPress.org blog. Which of your WordPress.com blogs are you concerned about? Which would you like me to look at and comment on?

    Yes, it is the .org., and your comment does not show.

    I’m very sorry, but I can’t really help with that. Since you have moved your site to be a self-hosted WordPress.org site, we have absolutely no access to your site other than as visitors. Plus, we have all of our own customers who we need to help at WordPress.com.

    You may be able to find some assistance by checking out the WordPress.org support forums which are available right here:

    They may be able to help you with it, but since I don’t know what’s wrong I couldn’t really tell you for sure. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to give them a call to see if they can give it a look, but it they can’t help I wouldn’t be upset about it since WordPress.org sites are self-managed.
