Comments not showing up

  I can’t comment on other blogs any more, which I was able to do in the past. It seems like its a problem for a few people at the moment, and I tried to reply to the thread discussing this, but even there my comment doesn’t show up unless I’m logged in:

  So with that in mind I’m not sure if its a problem more specific to me or not. Anyway, as that thread suggested I filled out the Akismet form but haven’t heard anything yet.

  This seems to be an ongoing issue at the moment and you’re certainly not alone. I was advised to contact Askimet through their contact form but I’ve since been informed that there is a problem with this method, that may not be resolved until Monday! I was advised to contact Askimet support via the following address;
  support@akismet.com

  I was also directed toward the following forum thread, where further updates will be posted;

  Hopefully this matter is going to be resolved soon!

  There is a known issue with Akismet blocking some comments by WordPress.com users. The Akismet team is working on it, but in the meantime, just be patient.

  Thanks for the reply. I have just noticed that it’s saying someone other than me started this thread for some reason. Strange. I wonder if there are separate issues going on with this and my posts not showing up on other threads unless logged in. I hope it’s nothing I have to worry about anyway.
