Comments not working?

Suddenly, I’m the only one who is able to post a comment on my blog. My users/readers cannot. Is something going on with WordPress?

Well, I just left your a comment. Seems to be working fine. (Oh, and perhaps you should update your profile for your blog address.)

I still can’t comment unless I’m logged in as myself (the blog admin), even though I don’t get a message or error that says my comment was not posted. I hit button to post my test comment and it refreshes the page as though the comment has been added, but nothing shows up.
What browser are you using Vivian? I was using Firefox 3.0.1 and my user who encountered the problem was using Safari.

Oh wait, this is weird. I did some more testing and it looks like I can add a comment just fine as long as I don’t use the name “Liz” in the name box. Doesn’t matter what the text of the comment is, or what email address I used. If I put the name “Liz” as the user name for the comment, the comment does not get posted.
It’s not showing up in spam or waiting for moderation, as near as I can tell. Why so much hating on Liz, yo?

p.s. What is it I’m missing in my profile? The blog URL should be there — I see it when I go to edit, anyway.

Check your spam filter – perhaps that is where the Liz comments are ending up. And then check to see if you have somehow added Liz to your blacklist. (Under settings>discussion in your dashboard)
The url in your profile is megwood.com, not the blog, megwood.wordpress.com It’s just easier to have your blog in your profile when it’s time for folks to help out.

Oops – I see that you have checked the spam filter. Sorry – I missed that. I’ll try logging out and see it I can post a comment using Liz.

OK, that’s really weird. I just logged out and tried to post using the name Liz. And it wouldn’t go. You might need to contact support on this.
