comments not working properly

  In the past few days, when people have attempted to leave comments on one of my posts, wordpress gives a pop-up requiring that they log in to an account to post–and I do NOT have that option checked in my discussion settings (ie. the box that says “users must be registered and logged in to comment” is unchecked). This hasn’t been a problem in the past, and I don’t recall having changed anything regarding comment moderation.

  Only users that enter an e-mail address in the comment field that’s associated with a WordPress.com account, are now required to log in. All other commenters can still leave comments as a guest without logging in.
