comments on about page
-
I do not want comments or responses showing on my about page. I cannot find any help articles which show how to turn comments off on About page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please go to your Dashboard > Pages > All Pages.
Click on your About page. You will be presented Edit Page for your About page.
Click on Screen Options button on the upper right corner of the page.
In the pop down, click on Discussion checkbox to enable it.
Scroll down the page to find the just enabled Discussion panel.
Uncheck Allow comments checkbox. -
If you edit your about page you should see a section called “Discussion” where you can uncheck the comments and track-/pingbacks for the page. To get there either go to Pages > All Pages and click on the relevant Edit link or try this direct link (which might not work, sorry!) If the “Discussion” section is hidden you can make it appear again by checking the box in the screen options menu which is at the top right of the edit page.

thank you for the feedback. I did go to “edit” page and enabled “discussion” and unchecked both “allow comments” and “track ping backs”. Page was updated, yet “responses” still appear on the About page. I’ve logged out and in again and made sure “allow comments” box is unchecked, which it is. This has not fixed the issue. Comments still appear on the page. But many thanks anyhow.

That should stop people posting new comments. You’ll have to delete the actual comments from Dashboard > Comments, and then ordering the In response to column to find you about page.

Can you please help me to fix why I have two about pages in my widget sidebar? When I started adding more pages a duplicate about page was added in the page section and the original stayed in the same place. They are duplicates
Thank you -
