comments on home page

  I do not know how to show a comments bar at the bottom of my home page. I also want comment bars at the bottom of each of the pages in my portfolio. Comments as a dashboard item is difficult to understand.

  Hi there,

  The Port theme isn’t designed to include a comments section on the home page. That’s an option on regular, static pages, but not using the Port theme’s home page template.

  If that’s a feature you’re interested in having in that home page template, you might want to get in touch directly with the theme author in the Port support forum here:

  Comments are only available for posts and pages, so they also can’t be enabled on portfolio projects. I’ve passed that request on to our developers so they can consider adding comments as an option on portfolio projects.

  If you’d like feedback on your portfolio projects, I’d recommend adding a Contact Form to those pages. That way, visitors can contact you privately with feedback. (However, messages submitted through a contact form are not published on the page like comments. They will be sent to you privately.)
