Comments on my blog

    Hello! I am hoping you can help me. Well, I pretty much know you can. I do giveaways on my blog and ask that all commenters leave their email in their comment, but few do. Is there a way to turn on something that will make their email visible in the comments? Without having to go in and look at them? I’ve tried to find something of that nature but can’t. Bear in mind that I’m tech challenged. :)

    Hi there,

    Asking people to leave their email in a public comment is a very bad idea, and we definitely don’t offer any option to force emails or any other personal contact information to be included and visible in comments. If anyone were to post their email address in a comment on your site, that would expose them to bots created by spammers that are constantly scanning sites across the web to harvest email addresses those spammers can then use to spam people, or worse, attempt to scam them.

    As the site owner you can see the email address for every commenter on your site from the comments management page at My Site ->Site ->Comments, so if you need someone’s email address, you can find it there.
