  For some reason I can’t get the commenting function to show up on pages. Any help much appreciated.

  I should have said I’ve got WordPress 5.8 running Twenty Seventeen Child theme. All up to date.

  Hello there,

  It looks like this site a self-hosted WordPress site so our support is limited.

  Have you checked the discussion settings as seen here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/comments-in-wordpress/#discussion-settings to see if they’re active?

  Also, you may want to check if the posts individually have comments active in the discussion tab.
