comments on pages—not posts

    I need to allow comments on a large number of pages that will be created on my site for transcribed letters that would not be appropriate in blog posts because they need to be organized by dates (I keep the blog posts for other things on the site). Even though all your support pages say that you can set comments to be available on both future posts and pages via the same setting, it does not work on my new pages, where I have to remember to add the comment ability for each new page. Then if I forget, I have to go back and add it.

    Is this correct that page comments have to be set individually?

    I’ve tried to change the setting for comments in the original WP Admin and in the newer Editor (which I do not like). Neither works for pages.

    Also: In some support, the word “article” is used and I don’t know if this means post or page or what.
