Comments on Pages

  Hi,

  I would like to remove the “Leave a reply” box under each page.

  There is no setting on the edit page or discussion section to remove this.

  Anyone know what I need to do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Just uncheck the Discussion “Allow comments” box immediately underneath the edit pane.

  I am having the same issue. I am familiar with this functionality with my WordPress.org pages, but I do not see the option to “allow comments” on a wordpress.com site that I just created.

  The blog linked to your username is not a free hosted wordpress.com blog and those are the only blogs we provide support for here so we cannot help you with it. WordPress.COM blogs and wordpress.org installs operate on different code. The correct support forum to get support for that blog is here > http://wordpress.ORG/support

  The default settings for all wordpress blogs is “comments” open. All default discussion settings are found here > Settings > Discussion for the whole blog. We can overirde the settings there on any post or page and close comments in the Discussion module located beneath the Editor box. Scroll down and locate these and disable them:
  Disccussion
  __Allow comments.
  __Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.
