Comments on uploaded pictures

I have had a comment made on one of my uploaded pictures . The comment does not show up on the number of comments made on this particular post and unless you click on the picture you would not see the comment . Is there any way of moving this comment to the usual place for comments? Or at least having it show on the number of comments made.

That’s because you’ve set your images to link to the so-called “attachment page” when clicked. I don’t see what use this is for you, since you get an image in the same size that way, and since you have no descriptions.
To transfer the comment, copy text and commenter’s data (username, mail etc.) from your dashboard, log out, submit text as a comment in the post, then log in again, correct data of new comment, delete original comment.
If you wish to stick to attachment pages, the only way you can have them without comment boxes is creating the posts under a no-comments-allowed default (in Settings > Discussion), then overriding that setting for each post after you publish it (post editor > Discussion module > tick “Allow comments on this post”, or Posts > Edit > Quick Edit > tick “Allow comments”).

Many thanks for that . I don’t know why I had the images linked like that either . I’m just surprised it dosn’t show up in comments made to the post.

The attachment page is like another post: if someone submits a comment to that phantom post, that’s where the comment will show up.
