Comments only show in side column as icons
-
I am very new to blogging, and need some kind, helpful soul to tell me how I can get comments left on my blog to show the actual words rather then just an Icon one must click on to read. I can see there will be times the comment left is actually better then the blog entry, which they are commenting on, and would like everyone visiting my blog to be able to see these wonderful comments. Thank you, to anyone kind enought to help an old man learn a new technology.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but that’s not possible. The front pages of our blogs “showcase” content and comments are collapsed on the front page. When the post titles are clicked or when the comment link is clicked the post will open on its own page and all comments will be displayed below it. This is important because when you have a lot of comments if the comments were not collapsed on the front page of your blog the page would be a mile long. It would take so long to load visitors would click out rather than waiting for it to load. And pageloading time is a pageranking factor.

as timethief said a mile long , i go to a blog and some posts have more than 200 hundred comments think of the scrolling of the front page
