comments overlapping post

Could you help me out with this please? The comment box and any comments are overlapping posts. It is happening on all pages that allow comments. Here is the link to one of the posts:
Thanx so much for any help you can give me.

I disabled the comments. A bandaid fix. It removed the comment box so now that is not overlapping the post’s text anymore atleast but of course no one can leave a comment now either. But besides that, if comments were made prior to this incident those comments still appear on the post… literally. The text is overlapping.
Can someone please assist me on this.

Ok, I removed all the comments as well as the option to leave a comment. Like I said, a bandaid fix. I copied the comments to a page I made called Comments. So atleast the past comments can be read but I would like to resolve this so that I can turn back on the option to leave comments.
Any advice please.

Since the original theme does not have that issue, and since you have modified the original CSS my only conclusion is that it is in the CSS changes you make. Since you have removed the comments and such we cannot even investigate what the problem might be.

The changes made to the css were done a year ago. The issue with the overlapping text just started a week ago. I turned the comments back on so that you can see it.
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I just left a test comment on your latest post and it is not overlapping the post. What browser are you seeing this in? I’ve tried Safari 4, SeaMonkey, Opera, Flock, Firefox 3.0.10 and they all show the comments aligned to the right of the content area, but not overlapping the post.

I’ve just been checking your source code, and I see you have been pasting directly from MS Word, which is always a really bad idea. MS Word does not speak “web” and can bring in all sorts of messy code that can break your blog. That said, I don’t see anything in the errors present in the validation report that would cause the blog to “blow up.”
If you paste from Word, use the process outlined in this FAQ to prevent bringing in the bad Word codes:

I don’t have IE7 and I’ll have to fire up my lab PC but I’ll check with IE8 in a few minutes.

In IE8, on your blog, the comments overlap the post as you have reported happening with IE7. I set one of my test blogs up with Tarski and checked it, and without any CSS modifications, the comments do not overlap the posts in IE8.
I can only assume there is something in your CSS that IE7 and IE8 do not like since I’m not seeing any of the typical stuff in your W3C validation report that would cause these sorts of issues.
WordPress has been doing some theme related upgrades regarding widgets but I would not think that that would have caused the issue, especially since the original theme with the original CSS does not exhibit this problem.

One note of interest is that the original CSS for Tarski has errors according to the W3C CSS validator, but your CSS has fewer errors and warnings:
Yours: 3 errors and 23 warnings
Original: 4 errors and 26 warnings -
ok, I don’t understand why this worked but I reverted back to the original Tarski css and saved and then went back and put my custom css and now it works. Go figure. But thanks for your help.

Well I didn’t do much, but you are welcome. Computers and the internet have a mind of their own sometimes. The important thing is that you have gotten it sorted out.
