Comments problem

My comments always approve by it’s own, how do I change it so that it will appear on the ” Awaiting moderation ” ?

Please give us a link to your blog, starting with http. A link to a facebook page is useless to us here.

First place to look for info is the FAQ’s, but since the Euro shift has woken in N-SPAM – Newbie SPoonfeed Answer Mode, here you go:

    How can I moderate comments?

/waving at lettershometoyou (We’re now asking posters to give their COM blog addey so we can see which platform they’re blogging on before answering.) :) Good morning and LOL!

Hey raincoaster, I saw your replies to others and you NEVER even ask for their blog link. And I gave you my link the other time, you didn’t reply after that. Wtf? And for what you need my link? What are you up to? It’s okay if you don’t want to help. -.-

Lettershometoyou & justjennifer: Hahah, okay thanks alot!!~ :D

We ask for links because we need to confirm your blogging platform. Many people come here from wordpress.org for help, and we are unable to help them because we have a completely different software.

And for your information, most of the helpers on this forum ask for links. It’s nothing personal, if we didn’t want to help, we wouldn’t be here :)

@ceniale-maybe because other people who ask for assistance from the WordPress.COM forum volunteers have their WordPress.COM blog linked to their username and not their facebook profile? Just sayin…’

    Cheers!

And you know, maybe the reason raincoaster didn’t reply in your other post was because someone else had already given you the answer? No need to be rude to a volunteer who gives an enormous amount of her time to helping people in the forums.

The problem is, he/she never ask for others’ links. I saw alot of his/her replies to people and he/she never ask for their links. The other time I posted a problem I had in the forum and he/she asked for my link, I gave him/her. And he/she didn’t reply after that. I know raincoaster helped alot of people and answered alot of questions in the forum, but the replies I got from him/her is totally different from what he/she gave to others. He/she asked for my link twice already, I gave it to him the first time, he/she didn’t even bother about me after that, makes me think that he/she just want to see my blog page. And this time round, I was hoping to get replies that would really help, raincoaster appeared and asked for my link again, I don’t understand why he/she needs it, really. And for your info rosclarke, no one gave me any answer. It’d be nice if I get replies like what justjennifer & lettershometoyou gave, rather than someone asking for my link when he/she doesn’t even need it for answering my question.

Lizii gave you an answer in your other thread.

There are a lot of reasons for asking for a link to a poster’s blog but the main one is simply to establish that the poster does have a wordpress.com blog. A significant proportion of the requests for help here come from people with wordpress.org blogs which use different software. If we don’t check, we can end up wasting a lot of our time (and the time of those seeking help) by giving answers that simply aren’t relevant because they’re for a different kind of blog.

  • Unknown's avatar

That was rather conceited of you; as we have all explained, we ask for links not so we can view your page, but so we are able to confirm that you’re on the same blogging platform and we are able to give you the right answer. Also, you can’t expect someone to wait around for you to reply them before giving you the answer. Everyone here is a volunteer.

And I do remember answering your question last time. The music one, right?

    Shit. You have 351 pages.

  • Unknown's avatar

Why in god’s name would I want to see your blog? Are you talking about me?

  • Unknown's avatar

Did you read “He/she asked for my link twice already, I gave it to him the first time, he/she didn’t even bother about me after that, makes me think that he/she just want to see my blog page.”

    I think he/she is you :)

  • Unknown's avatar

Yes, I read that. If the poster can’t be bothered to read on and implement the solutions, it’s really not my responsibility. We ask for a link so we can be sure they’re in the right place and check out the blog. Then the next person to come along helps out as they can, and so on. Sometimes people go to sleep. Sometimes people go to work. I don’t take crap about it unless they are paying me, and my rate for blogging and social media consulting is $100 per hour.

I don’t take crap from nobodies in the forum.

When anyone posts a comment then the page refreshes back to the top of the page and you have to keep scrolling down to get back to where you were. Can you tell me how to fix that please?

  • Unknown's avatar

Do I need to start a new comment thread for my problem? I am new at this so I am not sure if I am in the right place.

  • Unknown's avatar

@texassherry, Please give us a link to your blog so we can see how to help you.

    Hi Rosclarke,

The link to the blog is mcpalinmavericks.wordpress.com. Sorry it took me so long to answer. I couldn’t find this forum again.
