How do I remove the comments section from pages on my site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
You can close comments on a page by opening the page editor and scrolling down to the Discussion module. Uncheck the box next to ‘Allow comments’:
If you don’t see the Discussion module, click on ‘Screen Options’ at the top of the page and check the box next to ‘Discussion.’
Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Hi there
Thanks so much for replying to my post. None of the options you describe appear on my dashboard. Do you think this this because I am not a premium member? Or because I have not gone for the full customisation option? I am using the free wordpress…
Thanks

I think my interface looks different to yours :o(
I will persevere and see if wordpress will help.
Thanks for your replies.

I really want to get this working for you! Our interfaces should be exactly the same. Can you take a screenshot of your editor so I can see what’s happening here? Just upload the screenshot to your Media Library and I’ll be able to access it.

Okay. I understand now. It looks like you’ve already disabled posts from being opened on new posts and pages, but you still need to go and disable comments on any pages that were published before you made that change.
So, open one of the pages you have comments on like this one:
https://theindiansupperclub.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=16&action=edit
Then scroll down to the Discussion module and uncheck the box next to ‘Allow comments’:
If you don’t see the Discussion module, click on ‘Screen Options’ at the top of the page and check the box next to ‘Discussion.’
Let me know if you still aren’t seeing these options!
