Comments – someone else's icon popping up, not mine

I tried to respond to someone who commented on my blog. But next to my comment was my daughter’s icon, e-mail address. I turned off my blog … and my computer. When I logged back in … it was the same.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you’re using your daughter’s email, then it will show her icon. That image is tied to one identity and if you’re using her’s, it will show that.

Your own computer has nothing to do with how the blog shows your icon.

Try visiting your Settings Page and click on “Public Profile”. You should see a link to “Change your Gravatar”. This is the public image that’s shown next to your comments and such.

I am on my e-mail … not my daughter’s. I changed her e-mail – which somehow incorrectly was listed – on the comments section to mine. But I now have to APPROVE MY OWN comments.
When I post on other blogs, my gravator does show up. I don’t know how to account for all of this. It was working perfectly fine up last evening. Then, this morning … it’s all goofed up.

That’s sounds a lot like something that happened earlier this year.

Go to your dashboard and click on the “Help” tab on the upper righthand corner. Click on “Get Help” on the panel that shows up and follow the links. This may require someone from staff to take a look.

Unfortunately, the Help form just dumps people back here in the forum. I flagged this thread for staff attention.
