Comments to show on post

  Hello i am using chateau theme and have custom design, but the “Leave a comment” icon then takes you to leave the comment and read others, is there a way to display the comments already posted on the actual post/home.

  Comments can’t be posted on the main blog page of a WP.com blog except for P2 theme, which works more like a forum.

  No, and there is good reason. If a post would get a lot of comments, and I follow a number of sites that get anywhere from 75 to 700 comments on a post, then the front page would not only load very slowly, but it would also drive people away because they would have to scroll forever to get to the next post.

  There are some ways to do this using javascript or ajax to provide collapse/expand capabilities on the comments, but it cannot be done at wordpress.com.

  There is one theme here that has comments on the main page and that is P2, which is a collaborative, twitter inspired, theme with a good helping of “odd.”
