Comments: Url from Profile
-
Is there any way, fix or config to REMOVE the URL from profile for all comments made?
on the widget there are two links when a profile has a URL filled; it took the reader generally to the profile and not to the comment
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Usernames are linked to blogs and each comment has a unique link. I’m not clear on what you are asking or even why you are asking it so I’m going to tag this thread for Staff.

Thanks timethief
below an image to help understanding:
https://tetzneremacao.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/url_profile.pngI know that the link is unique, but is confused to people who trie access the comment
Today I have to manually delete url by url, comment by comment over 2000 weekly comments made
If you could just create a setting to turn on/off the URL from all comments it wold be very helpfull

Hi there,
Comments always include an option for the commenter to include their name and URL — there isn’t a way to change that. You can change your site’s Discussion Settings to make it optional for commenters to leave their URL, but you can’t prevent them from including a URL with their comment.
The only option is to individually edit the comments on your site to remove any URLs if you don’t want those to appear on your site. That said, I’d recommend leaving them — for many commenters interacting on another site, the link back to their own site is an organic way for them to encourage you (and other people involved in the conversation) to check out their site if you’re interested.
